Margaret Cochran Corbin – An American Woman Veteran

Over two hundred thirty five years ago, Margaret Cochran Corbin played an important part in the American Revolutionary War.  After her husband was killed by enemy fire, she manned the cannon until she herself was severely injured. She was an active soldier in that moment and later became the “first woman to receive a pension from the United States”.
