Please come celebrate the release of Major Margaret Witt’s book, Tell, which chronicles her federal court trial against the Air Force.
Town Hall is hosting the event at the Museum of Flight on Tuesday, September 26, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $5.
Margie’s story is more relevant than ever. After a highly decorated 18-year career in the Air Force, Margie was discharged for being a lesbian. The ACLU of Washington sued, claiming that the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy and its application to Margie violated her constitutional rights.
She won her case in 2010. The success of Margie’s case contributed to the passage of legislation finally allowing the end of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Now Margie is ready to share her whole story to the world in her memoir,Tell.
“Few people get to actually witness history and fewer still are fundamental in making it happen. Margie has managed to do both.”
